Oxygen Advantage® Breath work
Calm, focused breathing for high performance
At M-BOP we know that improving breathing it is the foundation for transformation. The Oxygen Advantage® approach is a science-led method that uses functional breathing to help regulate the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and support calm, alert performance in everyday life and sport.
By improving how we breathe, we can influence both mind and body faster than almost any other intervention.
Why Breathing Matters
Breathing is unique. It is automatic, yet we can consciously change it. This makes it the most direct way to shift out of stress and into a state of calm readiness.
When breathing becomes inefficient—over-breathing, mouth breathing, or poor breathing mechanics—the body remains stuck in a stress response. When breathing is restored, the nervous system settles, focus improves, and performance becomes optimal.
Three Dimensions of Breathing
The Oxygen Advantage® breathing exercises improve three dimensions of breathing.

Biochemical – Oxygen Where It’s Needed
Performance and mental clarity depend on effective oxygen delivery, not simply taking bigger breaths.
Training to Breathe Light:
✶ Improving tolerance to carbon dioxide (CO₂)
✶ Enhancing oxygen release to the brain and muscles
✶ Reducing breathlessness and anxiety-driven over-breathing
The result is greater efficiency, improved endurance, and a calmer, more focused mind.

Biomechanical – How We Breathe
Breathing mechanics influence posture, movement quality, and nervous system tone.
Training to Breathe Right:
✶ Nasal breathing
✶ Diaphragmatic function
✶ Breathing during rest, movement, and sleep
Efficient breathing mechanics reduce unnecessary tension and create a more resilient, balanced body.

Breath Mastery - Breathing Perception
Confidence and awareness to use breathing efficiently and intentionally to support well-being and performance.
Training Breath Awareness:
✶ Notice irregularly breathing
✶ Connection between emotions and breathing patterns
✶ Resonant breathing
Healthy resonant breathing can reduce heart rate, increase heart rate variability improve blood pressure regulation. Supporting emotional regulation, clear thinking, and consistent performance under pressure.
